Jelena Galić (violin)

was born in Tübingen and studied with Prof. Christian Sikorski and with Prof. Christine Busch at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, as well as in the class of Prof. Christian Altenburger at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Jelena Galić is a multiple first prize winner in the categories: “Special Ensembles”, Piano Trio and String Quartet.

She won first prize with her ensemble at the Carl Wendling Competition for Chamber Music and at the Polytechnic Society Competition in Frankfurt.

As a sought-after chamber musician, she has performed at the Rheingau Festival and the Klassikfestival Mecklenburg Vorpommern, among others.

Jelena Galić is a scholarship holder of the “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” Foundation, the PE-Förderung as well as the Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz.

Since August 2015 she has been a lecturer at the international chamber music course “Krasno Ijeto” in Croatia.
